Woman and 11-year-old girl hospitalised after stabbing in central London

A woman and an 11-year-old girl were hospitalised on Monday after being stabbed in Leicester Square, a busy area of ​​central London, police said, and a man was arrested.

“Officers are at the scene of a knife attack in Leicester Square. A man has been arrested and is in custody,” London police said in a statement.

“Two victims, an 11-year-old girl and a 34-year-old woman, were taken to hospital,” she added.

A London Ambulance spokesman said the service was called at 11.36am and both victims were taken to a trauma centre.
