They beat the Springfield Thunderbirds 4-0 Saturday in Game 5 and lifted the Calder Cup.
This is the first title since 2008 for the Chicago team.
The Carolina Hurricanes farm club went down in the first game of overtime before winning the next four.
The Hurricanes have seen their farm club win the Calder Cup in the last two editions. The Charlotte Checkers – the team’s farm club until 2019-20 – won the trophy in 2019.
The cup was not awarded in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19.
Quebec defender Maxime Lajoie scored the game-winning goal. Andrew Poturalski, David Gust and Josh Leivo also flashed the red light for the visitors.
Leivo was named the recipient of the Jack Butterfield Trophy, given to the playoff MVP. He has 15 goals and 14 assists in 18 games.
