(New York) The new star of American women’s basketball Caitlin Clark, who has just finished her university career, was unsurprisingly drafted in first place by the Indiana Fever on Monday in New York to join the WNBA professional championship.
Caitlin Clark, 22, has become a popular phenomenon thanks to her long-range shooting and her prowess in the NCAA University Championship, where she became the record leader in points this season.
An unfortunate finalist eight days ago with the Iowa Hawkeyes against the South Carolina Gamecocks, Clark saw his matches, notably during “March Madness”, record crazy audiences, with the final attracting 24 million viewers. That’s more than any basketball game in the United States since 2019.
Caitlin Clark is also applying for a spot on Team USA at the Paris Olympics (July 26-August 11).
