Two suspects who allegedly tried to steal a vehicle on the grounds of a construction company were attacked by witnesses at the scene Tuesday evening in Boisbriand.
According to what the Régie intermunicipale de police Thérèse-de-Blainville explained, an altercation broke out when witnesses intervened with the suspects.
The event degenerated to the point where two of the people who intervened were injured and had to be transported to hospital, police continued, citing injuries that did not endanger their lives.
The two suspects were apprehended shortly after fleeing by the first police officers to arrive on the scene.
“Currently, investigative steps are beginning in this matter. The witnesses and victims will be met by our investigators, the crime scene will be assessed and the suspects questioned. The close collaboration between the patrol police officers and the investigations section allowed a rapid, concerted and effective intervention,” commented Inspector Karine Desaulniers in a press release.
