The list of Blues called to prepare for the third match of the Six Nations Tournament against Scotland fell on Thursday 17 February. Fabien Galthié has selected 42 players in anticipation of the French trip to Murrayfield on February 26. The tricolor rugby players will meet in Marcoussis from Sunday.

The coach again appealed to a fairly young group, but also to his executives. With 68 selections on the clock, Gaël Fickou (27) is the most experienced player under the blue tunic. The third line (Alldritt, Cros, Jelonch), so brilliant against the Irish, was summoned, as was the front row (Atonio, Baille, Marchand), who valiantly withstood the shock against the fury of the Irish. On the side of the back lines, the Dupont-Ntamack hinge is recalled, as is the newcomer Moefana and Penaud will-o’-the-wisp.

Twirling against Italy and Ireland, Gabin Villière is however forfeited due to a sinus fracture. Matthieu Jalibert will not make his return against Scotland, still embarrassed in the thigh. Finally, Jonathan Danty is also one of the absentees. Injured in the left ankle during the match against Italy, the Rochelais could sign his return for the last two matches of the Tournament against Wales (March 11) and England (March 19).

The pillar Mohamed Haouas is making his return to the XV of France. The Montpellier player was not present during the first two matches of the Tournament due to his trial for acts of tobacconist robberies committed in 2014. Sentenced Friday, February 4 by the Montpellier Criminal Court to eighteen months suspended prison sentence and 15,000 euros fine, the 27-year-old is now available for the French selection.
