There are traumas and fears that remain forever. During his appearance on Manu Katché’s show, Gad Elmaleh opened up about his phobia of public transport.
But before that, the comedian spoke of his children who did not grow up like him.It must be said that Gad Elmaleh was born in Morocco and grew up with his parents in Casablanca with a Jewish and Moroccan culture that he proudly claims. “It can’t be the same way as my parents because quite simply my mother and my father were from the same culture. I had two children and the two mothers of my children were not Jewish, don’t were not Moroccan”, he explained.
This passage in The Katche Face was also an opportunity for him to evoke an anguish he had never spoken of before. Indeed, he has a terrible fear of transport and the reason could not be more surprising. Yes the comedian who recently embarrassed Cyril Hanouna Mostly lives most of his time in France, he still has dual Moroccan and Canadian nationality.
As a result, Gad Elmaleh revealed that he was afraid to take the metro in France and explained why: “There is a technical detail, which is that I have to apply for a residence permit. So if I don’t have this residence permit, I cannot stay in France”. Thus, public transport is always a source of anxiety for the 50-year-old comedian, who added: “I take the metro, and I’m often afraid of not having my residence permit on me. So it’s part of my life. i’m freaking out“.
Even being surrounded by his friends, the star has never been able to relax about this fear. Especially when there were controls. “I could pass for a guy who was born in France, but I have an attitude (…) I’m not complaining, it’s just that it’s part of my life to be afraid of being controlled and not having my residence permit”then admitted Gad Elmaleh who showed a flawless frankness.
