Car manufacturers will no longer have the right to sell new thermal engine vehicles from 2035 in Europe. The east franceshe ready?

In 2035, finished new cars with heat engines, and make way for electric. But, is the sector ready? On a vacant lot in the North, Renault has already taken the lead with the construction of a battery production site. In addition to this one, two other factories are already under construction. According to Arnaud Aymé, transport specialist at AIS Partners, it will not be so easy for builders to source raw materials, because mining projects take time to develop.

Regarding charging, there are 60,040 terminals in France. By 2035, it will be necessary to multiply them everywhere on the territory. As far as car workers are concerned, the electric car requires less manpower. Results : according to one study, 275,000 jobs are at risk. For consumers, an electric car costs on average 10,000 euros more than a thermal vehicle to purchase. So, will the electric car be within everyone’s reach? According to some specialists, it will be difficult to sell an electric car at the same price as the entry-level thermal models.
