Do you like football and rap? The book Number 10, released on Monday, December 20, is the one for you. This 200-page photo book was produced by Elisa Parron, a young 27-year-old photographer from Lausanne. After a brief stint in a Swiss fine arts school, she began to canvass certain French rappers and Paris Saint-Germain players to follow them and take their pictures.
In this book, the energies and emotions of Orelsan, Neymar, Mbappé and even Booba intersect. The latter also inspired the title of the book, in reference to his song of the same name. “In 2015, I did an exhibition which was already called ‘Number 10’, in which I had already put my best rap and football photos”, remembers Elisa Parron. For a year, she has therefore been preparing this book which traces nearly a decade of photoshoots, football matches, tours, concerts …
“I wanted to make a book by mixing the two worlds. I started photographing football and at the same time rap concerts.”

For her, the two circles have things in common. “The actors in these professions are very similar. They are the same kind of guys, with the same energies and passionate people who make it their job today.” The book is built in two parts: one side dedicated to PSG, the other to rap. “Footballers love music: before games, in the locker room, at home, to celebrate … They listen to music. It’s pretty connected.” The two universes come together at the center of the book, with photos of artists and players, in similar poses.
