Increasing charges
Last year, the price of reduced football, especially in the youngest categories, was 120 euros per year, accompanied by all the complete equipment. This season, it will cost 130 euros and the equipment will no longer consist of shorts and socks. “We could have increased by 20 euros to be comfortable“, but it was not necessary to increase the bill too much for the families either.
If René Girardin was forced to make these few adjustments, it is also because he recruited staff. This year, the club will have 2 employees on permanent contracts with wages revised upwards as in many companies. “The requirement of the parents in the quality of the supervision made that we turned to this choice.“In addition to the CDIs, it is also necessary to pay for the fifty volunteers during their travels. In a few years, because of the price of gasoline, reimbursements have gone from 20 cents per kilometer to 34 cents.
Communicate on the price increase
In the Vosges, Effort basket Mirecourt also had to slightly increase the price of the license, up to 5 euros. “But we have chosen to communicate well to the families where this sum is going to also remind that there are some aids“, confides Florent Reinbold, the president. “We cannot increase too much either, we are in a rather rural area.” A strategy that has paid off for the time being since the bar of 150 licensees reached last year could be beaten this year.
