Oh Mom!, a rockabilly-inspired title performed by a 13-year-old teenager, Lissandro, is the song that will represent France during the Eurovision Junior on December 11, France Télévisions announced on Friday October 28. This is Barbara Pravi, second in the classic Eurovision in 2021 with So, who co-wrote this title.

Lissandro is from a village in Moselle, according to France Télévisions. His influences range from old school rock to today’s colorful R’n’B pop. His song is “a delicious mix between Bruno Mars and Elvis that will make Europe groove“, commented Alexandra Redde-Amiel, head of the French delegation to Eurovision and director of varieties of France Télévisions, in a press release.
The children’s version of the song contest will take place in Yerevan, after last year’s victory for Armenia with young Malena. France, which organized the competition and was represented by Enzo and his song Tic Tachad finished third, after Valentina’s victory in 2020.
Eurovision Junior, of which this will be the 20th edition, is reserved for 9-14 year olds. Unlike adult Eurovision, you can vote for your own country. The winner is determined half by the votes of the public and half by the votes of the national juries. The public will be able to vote on the junioreurovision.tv site, from Friday 9 December. This year, 16 countries are participating: Albania, Armenia, Spain, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, North Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Serbia and Ukraine.
