With his show Le temps en temps | Julien Lacroix announces his return to the stage

Comedian Julien Lacroix announced Wednesday his new one man show, From time to timepresented in run-in this fall.

With the announcement of this new show, the comedian thus formalizes his return to the stage.

“If I had been told three years ago that I would have the chance to go back on stage, I would not have believed it,” wrote Julien Lacroix in a publication shared Wednesday on social networks.

The comedian has been testing the waters for several months with a view to a possible return to the stage, notably by hosting comedy evenings across the province.

“When I decided to do the stage again, I made a promise to my lover: if the public was not there, I would give up for good. This experience has not been a long, quiet river, but more than 10,000 of you have attended – in the darkest rooms in Quebec – what was initially a question and answer evening, which quietly transformed into a show run-in,” he shared.

Julien Lacroix withdrew from the spotlight following an investigation by Duty in which nine women accused the comedian of sexual misconduct, in the summer of 2020.

Two years later, however, women had qualified their comments, some regretting having denounced the comedian, revealed a survey by The Press and 98.5 FM.

“We often say that a second show is more difficult to write… But with a pandemic, a storm, fatherhood and sobriety, let’s say that there was no shortage of subjects for this return to the stage after more than three years of thoughts,” continued the comedian in his publication.

He will present his new material for the first time on October 6, in Quebec.

“Time to timethis is my new one man show. An ode to time which sometimes examines the past, but which is decidedly turned towards the future,” he concluded.
