On Wednesday July 10, Gaëtan Roussel opened the 40th edition of the Francofolies de La Rochelle with a creation called Eclectic!named after his latest album released in November 2023 and re-released last April with additional tracks.
A duet album that lives up to its name since it brings together artists from very different backgrounds such as Soprano, -M-, Louane, Bertrand Belin, Isabelle Adjani and Alain Souchon.
For the show, Gaëtan Roussel managed the feat of bringing together eleven for a unique concert on the stage of the Grand Théâtre de la Coursive. Alongside him: Renaud, Calogero, Rachida Brakni, Daniel Auteuil, Bertrand Belin, Lucky Love, Madjo, Martin Luminet, Marguerite Thiam, Achile, and Adeline Lovo.
“It’s a large family, several generations, several musical furrows, several musical desires that suddenly find themselves on the same stage. And I have this chance to share a song with each and every one. And I like this idea. Eclecticism is when two entities meet and we create a third.” explains the singer.
An exceptional moment of sharing which captivated the spectators of the Grand Théâtre, and which is now available free of charge on our France.tv platform until the end of the year.
