With “Apollo”, Chien Noir in the big leagues

“Your heart will do what it wants” sings the first piece of his album to us. And like him, Chien Noir alias Jean Grillet, 37 years old, does what he wants from now on. He charmed us in 2021 with his song True story (used in the advertising of a famous catalog) then with Beautifulhis EP the following year.

Here is Apollohis album, for which Chien Noir ended up symbolically removing this cap that he wore all the time, in concert and in photos, to finally be himself, let loose and have fun: “I think it’s the first time in my life that I felt ready for this, that I finally understood who I was, what I wanted to do. But also how I wanted to sing, and represent myself. This that I wanted to be, to say, and how to say it. I found a form of maturity with myself, and it was the right time to do it, and release this record .”

A song dedicated to his mother

Chien Noir always has this recognizable and androgynous voice, which continues to become intimate.
