Mondher Kebaier will still have to deal with the Covid for his last group match. Seven new positive cases are added to the five already isolated for a total of twelve players, at least, absent against Gambia, Thursday, January 20. A decisive meeting for Tunisia which needs a point to ensure its qualification.

Captain Wahbi Khazri is among the players affected by the virus. A blow for the Carthage Eagles as the Stéphanois shone in the previous match against Mauritania with two goals and an assist.

The rules of the competition specify that eleven suitable players are needed to start a match, whatever their position. Otherwise, the team would be forfeited. With an enlarged group of 28 players, the Tunisians should have no problem fielding a team, it remains to be seen whether it will be competitive enough to seek qualification.
