“Witches”: a short video to make our mouths water

The first images of the new family drama witches, who will replace The Breakaway this fall in the Monday evening schedule, on TVA, show a baby who is found in the middle of the night in a forest.

The annual series features actresses Céline Bonnier, Marie-Joanne Boucher and Noémie O’Farrell, who portray three sisters who have not met for three decades. Joe, Beth and Agnès were raised in a commune founded by their father in the village of Sainte-Piété. They remain marked by this experience.

“A stunning discovery in their native village awakens many secrets and forces the three women to reconnect with their deep nature and rediscover themselves,” said the Amalga production company and Quebecor Content on Monday.

There is talk of a “dark machination” that will force them to dig to bring out the truth and we are promised a series imbued with mysteries and investigations with “tragic echoes”.

It is an original idea by Céline Bonnier, Marie-Joanne Boucher, Noémie O’Farrell and Germain Larochelle. The latter signs the texts with Marie-Josée Ouellet, as well as in collaboration with Marie-Chantal Bisson, Marie-Hélène Lapierre and David Leblanc. Directed by Ian Lagarde and Myriam Verreault.

In addition to the three main roles attributed to Céline Bonnier, Marie-Joanne Boucher and Noémie O’Farrell, the series is based on the acting of Lamia Benhacine, Juliette Côté, Patrick Drolet, Alexa-Jeanne Dubé, Stéphane Gagnon, Rémi Goulet, Marie-Claude Guérin, Jade Hassoune, Guillaume Laurin, Elisabeth Locas, Denis Marchand, Christian Michaud, David Noël, Widemir Normil, Igor Ovadis, Christophe Payeur and Julie Roussel.

For the time being, TVA has not confirmed the broadcast schedule for witches, but it is an open secret that fiction will settle in the time slot liberated by The Escape, either Monday, at 8 p.m. Most of the big productions will start their season on September 11th.
