Winter terraces | Gourmet meals (almost) outside

Quebecers seem increasingly motivated to enjoy winter experiences that are a little out of the ordinary.

The terraces of the William Gray and DoubleTree downtown hotels (Bivouac restaurant), for example, are repeating their concept of transparent bubbles for eating outside without freezing, starting now.

Both offer multi-course meals for $135 and $150 respectively before drinks, taxes and service.

Le Bivouac adds a winter garden to its offering, for hot chocolate, an aperitif or a digestive.

Château Champlain has also decided to launch its winter terrace, the Belvu off-piste, from November 30.

Here, we embrace the cold with DJs, outdoor fireplaces, hot drinks and a small comforting à la carte menu. Don’t forget your snowsuit!
