A 41-year-old driver started the new year by facing multiple charges after hitting police headquarters in Winnipeg, Man. On New Years Eve.
Building security officers saw the motorist driving “erratically” past the police building at around 8:45 pm.
After crossing a transit corridor, the suspect found himself on the sidewalk and then hit two police garage doors while driving around the building, Winnipeg police said in a statement.
It also struck a city bus twice on its way.
“The man then got out of the vehicle while he was still moving and was taken into custody by the agents who intervened,” the authorities said.
He faces five counts, including dangerous driving and impaired driving.
He has since been released on a promise to appear.
