American Cy Young winner Robbie Ray has agreed to a five-year, $ 115 million contract with the Seattle Mariners, ESPN and The Athletic reported among others.
Last season, Ray was 13-7 averaging 2.84 with the Toronto Blue Jays.
He led the big leagues with 248 strikeouts, pitching for 193 one-third innings.
Ray had struggled greatly in 2020, conceding the most walks in Major League baseball at 45, with Arizona and the Blue Jays.
That year, he posted a 2-5 record and a 6.62 average.
There is movement among the Blue Jays. According to what was reported on Sunday, Marcus Semien left in favor of the Texas Rangers, while Kevin Gausman agreed to join the Toronto club.
