The year 2022 promises to be exceptional for winegrowers. The producers of the Rhône Valley are delighted with a superb vintage.

As the warm colors of autumn roam the vines, the winegrowers enjoy a well-deserved rest after a prosperous season for them. In the Côtes du Rhône, producers are enthusiastic and full of hope. Indeed, the 2022 vintage looks extremely promising. After scorching temperatures that raised fears of a poor harvest, the rainfall in September reassured winegrowers.

This 2022 vintage could well establish itself as one of the best of the decade, as oenologist Xavier Froin explains:For the past ten or fifteen years, it has been one of the very fine vintages“, he reports. Despite this good quality of wine, the quantities harvested are small. In places, there is a decrease of 30% compared to last year.Reduction in harvest plus increase in the cost of raw materials, there will inevitably be an impact on the selling price of the bottles“, regrets Céline Nodin, winemaker at Domaine Laurent Fayolle.
