Etienne Daho sublimates this mythical story “Le Vilain Petit Canard”

An animal fable about difference and self-acceptance, Le Vilain Petit Canard is one of Andersen’s most famous stories. Carried by music by Etienne Daho, this tale interpreted by Arnaud Valois, offers an adaptation full of humor and liveliness.

Hardly out of the egg, a little duck unlike any other is subjected to harassment and violence. One day, he decides to go away. On his way, he first meets rather hostile animals and must face new trials but, courageous and determined, he ends up meeting those who will make him love life and accept himself as he is… Timeless tale for children of Andersen, Le Vilain petit canard was recently revisited with mischief by Héloïse Chouraki and Arnaud Valois via an illustrated book accompanied by a record, Olivier Tallec signing the drawings and Étienne Daho the music.

This tasty adaptation is now transposed to the stage – Arnaud Valois, to the interpretation and staging by Sandra Gaudin, which increases its power of enchantment.
