(London) Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and New Zealand partner Erin Routliffe are one win away from a second Grand Slam title after beating Americans Desirae Krawczyk and Caroline Dolehide 6-4, 6-3 in the Wimbledon women’s doubles semi-finals on Friday.
Second-seeded Dabrowski and Routliffe capitalised on their first match point by breaking their opponents for the fourth time in the match.
The winning duo had 17 break points while losing serve once in three occasions.
The 2023 US Open champions will now face fourth-seeded Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic and American Taylor Townsend in Saturday’s final.
Dabrowski and Routliffe improved to 12-2 on grass this season.
Routliffe also reached the semi-finals of the mixed doubles with compatriot Michael Venus before losing 7-6 (0), 6-3 to Taiwan’s Hsieh Su-wei and Poland’s Jan Zielieński on Friday.
Routliffe, who previously represented Canada before moving to his native country, and Venus defeated Dabrowski and Finland’s Harri Heliovaara in the first round.
