Willis Drummond – Bidasoa

Since 2006, Willis Drummond has come a long way and made his rock repertoire known in the Basque Country and far beyond!
Jurgi Ekiza (guitar and vocals), Xan Bidegain (bass), Felix Buff (drums) and Vincent Bestaven (guitar) form this energetic quartet, their music can be very powerful, bewitching or softer, but it never leaves you indifferent.
Since his debut, Willis Drummond has composed all his titles in Basque: 9 albums on the clock, and the 10th, whose name has not been revealed, to be released on November 18, 2022.

“Bidasoa”, a river that should be a link, not a cemetery

Willis Drummond has his feet on the ground, and tells the world from here, as they perceive it.
The Basque Country has always been a zone of passage, of transit, and today, many migrants, fleeing poverty or war, try to cross the Bidasoa, to go up to the North of Europe, in search of a better life.
In recent years, the repression against these migrants has intensified, via numerous roadblocks and racial profiling on the bridges between Hendaye and Irun.
Willis Drummond denounces this posture, assumes its solidarity with passing migrants, and recalls that for the Basques, the Bidassoa is not an obstacle, but the link between two shores of the same country.
