The Ukrainian army is said to have made a breakthrough in the south of the country, after having made great progress in the east on Tuesday, October 4. Faced with the general retreat of the Russian army, Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov and former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev have called on Moscow to use tactical nuclear weapons.

Will Vladimir Putin use his tactical nuclear weapons? The question is valid. It has 2,000 nuclear warheads, mounted on missiles. These weapons, which can have a range of 500 km, can be launched from a bomber, a fighter, or even a naval vessel. These weapons are called tactical because they operate on or near a battlefield. It is therefore a question of aiming for a front line, a column of armored vehicles or even a railway junction.

Some experts believe that Vladimir Putin could launch a nuclear warhead in the middle of the Black Sea as a warning sign. It would then have no consequences for the population. However, if a nuclear warhead reached a city, there would be thousands of deaths. It would be a point of no return. This acting out is not the hypothesis favored by the experts.
