More than four months after slapping host Chris Rock at the Oscars, Will Smith released a video on Friday apologizing.
The actor thus answers questions that he says he has received from the public. He claims to have thought a lot over the past few months and to have done some work on himself. He apologizes to Chris Rock and says he tried to reach him. The latter, however, would have indicated that he was not ready to discuss the event for the moment. Will Smith also apologizes to Chris Rock’s mother, noting that he understands he hurt several people.
Recall that on March 27, during the Oscars, Will Smith got up from his seat to hit Chris Rock after he made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett, who had alopecia.
He had already issued an apology after the event.
