Emmanuel Macron has asked his Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne to form a government of action. But the head of state ruled out any participation of the Nupes or the National Rally, Sunday, June 26.
Sunday, June 26, Emmanuel Macron opened the door to coalitions to obtain a majority on future bills that his government will present to Parliament. The Communist deputies do not close the door completely. Fabien Roussel explains that he is open to certain texts that he considers to be priorities for the French, but draws a red line that his party will not cross. “We will not go to a government that plans to increase the retirement age”warned the communist deputy.
On the side of the Republicans, the political line displayed is officially clear: the party is part of the opposition. But some could agree, behind the scenes, with the deputies of the presidential party, in particular on the subject of raising the retirement age to 65 years. A possible coalition in which neither the National Rally nor La France insoumise will participate. They are excluded because they are not considered government parties by the Head of State.
