Monday, July 25, while the State announced several measures in favor of purchasing power, some people want large companies to make an effort too.

In the National Assembly, the last discussions concerning the purchasing power of the French take place, Monday, July 25. Discount on fuel, food check, revaluation of pensions… These measures should cost 44 billion euros more to the State. But the Ministry of the Economy wants to put pressure on the big groups, so that they help it. Motorway companies, companies, banks and supermarkets are already announcing gestures or discounts.

With the holidays and the start of the new school year approaching, the French are expecting more. “It’s nice, but it’s not enough“, estimates a motorist. The opposition of left would have preferred a tax on the profits of the large groups. They are in the process of making a plan com on the theme: “great, we’re doing discounts!” even though we could have, in the National Assembly, taxed these crisis profiteers“, indicates Antoine Léaument, deputy (LFI / Nupes) of Essonne.
