Sentenced in 1991 before being pardoned seven years later, Omar Raddad continues to fight to prove his innocence in the murder of his boss Ghislaine Marchal.
The case of the murder of Ghislaine Marchal may experience a twist. The sole perpetrator of the crime, in the eyes of justice, Omar Raddad, a Moroccan gardener, is facing a new stage in his attempt at rehabilitation. Before the investigating committee, his lawyer put forward a “hidden investigation” carried out in the 2000s. The gendarmes had then obtained the confidences of an informant deemed credible.
This woman evokes the trail of a fatal burglary, sponsored by criminals of the region. “She particularly points to two brothers. One of whom is described as dangerous”explains Jean-Michel Décugis, journalist at Le Parisien and author of the book Ministry of Injustice. Why was this investigation dropped? The defense wants answers. At 59, Omar Raddad still claims his innocence.
