The legal battle continues for the mayor of La Riche. In a statement, Wilfried Schwartz announces this Thursday, September 21 that it appeal in cassation in the hope of overturning the decision of the Orleans Court of Appeal which, two days earlier, had sentenced him to six months of ineligibility and a fine of 3,000 euros, in the so-called case of the slap in the metropolis of Tours.
This final appeal being suspensive, the sentence imposed on him does not apply. Wilfried Schwartz can therefore keep his post as mayor of La Riche, departmental councilor and vice-president of the Touraine metropolis, in charge of mobility.
He denies the charges against him
In this case, Wilfried Schwartz has always denied having hit his former chief of staff in the metropolis of Tours, in June 2021, when he was at the head of the community. Immediately after the complaint filed against him, he resigned from his post.
