We may never have the chance to become owners. We fear that we will have to pay more and more taxes and that the quality of government services will continue to deteriorate.

We are deeply concerned about the repeated election of Liberal governments that spend lavishly.

Jean Charest gives us hope for the future and that is why we support him as leader of the Conservative Party of Canada. It has proven itself in the sound management of public finances. When he was Premier of Quebec, he managed the economy so well that he lowered the unemployment rate by 1.5%, reduced the size of government by 6% and taxes by 1 billion of dollars.

On the right track

When Jean Charest left office, Quebec had one of the highest credit ratings in the country, was on track to balance the budget, and had stronger economic growth from 2008 to 2012 than United States, Europe and even Canada. We firmly believe that he is the Prime Minister Canada needs to face the challenges of today, while preparing to face those of tomorrow.

As young curators, we did our research, to use the well-known expression. We listened carefully to each candidate and carefully considered and compared their experiences and policies on youth issues. Jean Charest has unparalleled experience and track record in this regard. He served as Minister of State for Youth under Brian Mulroney and implemented the first Youth Action Strategy in Quebec as Premier of Quebec. He may not be the youngest candidate in the race, but he has managed to form a deep bond with us, and we know he will do the same with the Canadians.

We need a leader and a prime minister who can deliver serious policies that will give our generation the tools to succeed and thrive. Jean Charest is that chef.

Like you, we are fed up with division and polarization. If we want our party to win, we must respect the different points of view within our political formation. Jean Charest understands this. Throughout his career he has worked to unite East and West and has always recognized the value of including all conservative fringes within the party.

Mr. Charest has this ability to listen, think and act in the best interests of Canadians. Possessing a deep understanding of Canada and its place in the world, Jean Charest is passionate about the future of his country and always has been. As young adults, we believe that Jean Charest is the only leader who can build a Canada in which we can all grow and prosper. We hope you will join us and vote for Jean Charest to become the next leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.
