Jonathann Daval, convicted of the murder of his wife Alexia in 2017, will once again meet his in-laws in court. It will be Wednesday April 10 for slanderous denunciation. He is accused of having accused his brother-in-law of having killed Alexia, with the complicity of the young woman’s parents.
It was in the investigating judge’s office, in June 2018, that Jonathann Daval, after playing the role of the grieving widower, once again changed his version. He claims that his wife, Alexia, had a hysterical attack during a family evening and that her brother-in-law strangled her. An unbearable indictment for Grégory Gay, who is now demanding compensation: “He implicated innocent people: us. In the case, at no time was it possible that we could be involved. Obviously, it was morally hard.”
“To find yourself implicated in a murder case is completely crazy and it’s unacceptable.”

Alexia’s family is demanding a total of 60,000 euros in damages. Exorbitant amounts in the eyes of Randall Schwerdorffer, Jonathann Daval’s lawyer: “We said to ourselves: ‘Hey, we can get some money’. All I hope is that Jonathann Daval can explain himself and apologize again. Hoping that this is the last episode judicial review of the Daval affair.”
Jonathann Daval and Alexia’s family will be face to face again on Wednesday afternoon, three and a half years after his conviction for murder.
