He sells them up to 50% more expensive than usual, but justifies this increase by the fact that demand explodes during Valentine’s Day and prices soar because the supply does not keep up.

For Valentine’s Day, the chef is offering a unique menu for 85 euros, because the products are more high-end. And since there will only be tables of two in the room, that’s 15 fewer seats. The evening is not so financially interesting for restaurateurs. It is sometimes possible for merchants not to increase their prices. A chocolatier offers chocolate beggars all year round and a special edition for lovers, in the shape of a heart, at the same price. 60% of French people will celebrate Valentine’s Day.
