Why do I have cramps?

The osteopath Guillaume Douet tells us that the muscle provides a response by contracting.

Either the control does not work well, so this is a neurological problem: the over-stressed muscle reacts by contracting very hard.

Either it is the food of the muscle which is in question, it is then necessary to seek on the side of the contributions:

  • in water,
  • in calcium,
  • in magnesium,
  • or potassium.

These deficiencies are likely to trigger cramps during prolonged efforts.

People who practice trail or long hikes know this problem well and often use drinks with a little sugar and a little salt.

Listen again to find out what to do in case of cramp.
