It is a far cry from the luxury that the 29 candidates for the Miss France 2021 competition experienced, in a large hotel in Versailles, at the Waldorf Astoria Trianon Palace, during their preparation stay. In full confinement, so as not to have to cancel it, the boss of the Misses, Sylvie Tellier, took the girls a stone’s throw from Paris, in December 2020. This year, in Guyana, the trip was a little more sporty for the beauty queens.
“You take the minimum, we don’t wash”
As reported by our colleagues from Parisian / Today in France, the 30 candidates for Indira Ampiot’s crown, left for Guyana, before the evening of December 16, 2023 at the Zénith in Dijon. And they had a big surprise when they learned that they were going to spend 24 hours in the wilderness, without showers, without toilets, sleeping in a hammock. In the regional daily’s report, we learn that an organizer warned the regional Misses: “You take the minimum, we don’t wash.”
And the young women all played the game.”We’re doing ‘Koh-Lanta’, the Misses, ‘The Queens of Shopping’ and ‘I’ll Sleep at Your Place'”welcomed Sonia Coutan, Miss Franche-Comté, while her colleague Emma Grousset, Miss New Caledonia quipped: “I am alive and well. I came out of our excursion alive, it was just incredible.”
The Miss France election to follow on December 16, 2023
A journey of which we will discover the images on the evening of the election of Miss France 2024. The president of the jury was revealed on November 17, 2023 during the press conference and it is none other than Sylvie Tellier. While waiting to know the names of the members of the jury, we will of course find Jean-Pierre Foucault at the presentation (for the 29th consecutive year) accompanied by Cindy Fabre, Miss France 2005 (for the 2nd time).
