On the blue planet, a vast heterogeneous assembly, it is not always easy to cross borders for the many people who wish to do so. Who are they ? If we survive in a Gehenna called Gaza, Ukraine, South Sudan, Haiti and so on, isn’t it natural to want to flee to a place where the grass will be greener, really greener? ? And if I am a woman who is forced to disappear from public space in different ways, whether in Afghanistan, Iran or other places where religious fundamentalism is rife, how can I not dream of a State where freedom will accompany me every day? And if my stomach is empty due to the famine that continues in Ethiopia, Nigeria and elsewhere, wouldn’t I want to live again in a region where people are dying from eating too much?
Doesn’t immigration rhyme with humanity? Should we not then think about it seriously? How many countries, like Canada, are simply putting a bandage on a wound that is getting worse every day? Whose Earth is it? The Earth belongs to everyone…
