An appetizer in a tight row. The Tour of Spain 2022 starts on Friday August 19, 2022, at Utrecht (Netherlands). Por the first of three stages of the Vuelta 2022 on Dutch roads, the riders will compete in a team time trial of 23.3 kilometers.
The course does not involve any technical difficulty and the differences between the formations at the end of the stage should prove to be relatively small. The show will also take place on the sidewalks, with a Dutch public passionate about cycling.
Favorite, Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma), is aiming for a fourth consecutive victory at the age of 32. However, the Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl team of Remco Evenepoel and Julian Alaphilippe wants to spoil the party. This last Grand Tour of the season is also the last Vuelta of the Spaniard Alejandro Valverde (Movistar), winner in 2009. Follow the first stage.
