While Boris Johnson will have to soon to leave his post as Prime Minister, two conservative personalities seem capable of succeeding him.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced his resignation as Prime Minister. But the name of his successor remains uncertain. “Bojo”, had indeed no natural heir within the conservative party. Two personalities, however, appear as the finalists in the race for 10 Downing Street. The first is Rishi Sunak, former Chancellor of the Exchequer, the equivalent of the Minister of Finance. This 40-year-old, former analyst and pro-Brexit, is the favorite with the key measure being the increase in purchasing power. He is, however, reputed to be smooth and faces revelations regarding his wealthy wife’s tax arrangements.

Her competitor is Liz Trusswhom some are already dubbing “the new Iron Lady”. Minister of Foreign Affairs and fervent supporter of Boris Johnson, she does not hesitate to assert very clear-cut positions. “I know how to make difficult decisions and I know how to get things done”she said in particular, promising to be First minister “since the first day”.
