Who was he on the sets?

The movie The Burnt Barns was filmed in 1972. 52 years later, in La Chaux de Gilley in Haut-Doubs, the inhabitants still remember the filming. “It was impressive because there was already a lot of snow, and all the old people from La Chaux who were extras”remembers a resident. Alain Delon and Simone Signoret at the village café left a lasting impression on him. “He was ten meters away”confides Rémy Jeannier.

Director Jérôme Bermyn was particularly touched by his meeting with Alain Delon. He was the last to work with the actor, in October 2020. “Very quickly, he accepts. There is very little hesitation, it’s yes straight away”he says. In his documentary on de Gaulle, Alain Delon was the general’s deep voice. They recorded the texts at the actor’s home in Douchy (Loiret), “in a good way”Alain Delon ended the documentary by reading the letter he had sent to de Gaulle after his failure in the referendum in 1969.
