Saint-Vincent-Tournante is in less than a month. And to mark the return of the traditional Burgundy wine festival, the organizing committee of this 78th edition – which takes place in the villages of Corpeau, Puligny-Montrachet and Blagny – has set up a ” unique attraction », the « Tombola of the great vintages ».
The idea is simple: 100,000 tickets for sale at the single price of two euros. But the lucky winners will leave with a special gift: a bottle of very good wine. Yes you are not dreaming, it is indeed 100 bottles of grands crus that make up the lot, from around ten estates (François Carillon, Romanée-Conti, Thomas Morey and many others).
Bottles each worth between 300 and 7,000 euros
An idea made possible by the successive postponements of this 78th Saint-Vincent-Tournante. ” All these bottles were originally intended for a gala dinner for Saint-Vincent 2021. We had the idea of giving away some grand cru glassesexplains Rémi Colin, vice-president of the organizing committee. But the Covid canceled everything “. So, what to do with the stock of wine already made available by donors? ” We decided to share it with as many people as possible. smiles Rémi Colin.
The raffle is thus set up. With bottles each worth between 300 and 7,000 euros, the possible revenue could go up to 200,000 euros. And this beautiful sum will benefit five local associations. ” Go and help people who could no longer work in the vineyards, this is the basis of Saint-Vincentrecalls Rémi Colin. We wanted to find this idea of mutual aid with the raffle ».
“It gives us a big boost”
In detail, a third of the proceeds will go to the Association des Climats de Bourgogne, which helps the wine world, and another third will be used to map the soils of Puligny-Montrachet. The third part will finance three associations: Ani’Nomade, which brings animals to hospitals, retirement homes and schools, Respir’Bourgogne, which acts for people with autism, and Coup d’pouce, which helps affected children. by cancer in Burgundy.
This financial aid comes at the right time for Claire Mongeot, director of Ani Nomade : “It gives us a big boost. In concrete terms, this will help us with all our operating expenses. When we found out that we had been chosen from the five organizations, it was an immense joy and a great relief.”. For two years, health restrictions have put the association almost at a standstill. In particular, 9 thousand 500 euros must be taken out each month to feed the hundred chickens, dogs, hamsters, squirrels and even ponies at Ani’Nomade.
For those interested, tickets are still available on the 78th Saint-Vincent-Tournante website (“buy/book” tab). A point of sale will also be set up during the event, on March 19 and 20. The draw for the raffle will take place on the afternoon of March 20.
