It was the little surprise of the announcements of the candidates of the presidential majority in Limousin. Among them, in the third constituency of Haute-Vienne, Geoffroy Sardin, presented as vice-president of the international computer firm Ubisoft specializing in video games. He succeeds Marie-Ange Magne, who had been critical of the government.
At 53, this married man and father of three daughters will try to keep this district of northern Haute-Vienne, rural, so close but so far from Limoges at the same time. “One of my five priorities will be the opening up of the territory” explains the candidate, also citing access to care and the fight against medical deserts, agriculture and local food, but also access to very high speed.
“100% Upper Viennese” origins
If he is going into politics today, it is because Geoffroy Sardin has Upper Viennese origins, “100%” specifies the candidate. “My father was born in Limoges and my mother still lives in Bonnac-la-Côte, three kilometers from the third constituency. _I spent my childhood in Compreignac, Nieul, Saint-Jouvant_…it’s all my education, my parents and grandparents lived there” he points out.
For 25 years, Geoffroy Serdin has shared his life between Paris and Haute-Vienne. Istudied in Lille, before joining L’Oréal, then Ubisoft, “at the time a very small structure to which I had the honor of contributing to its growth as vice-president” . After these years, Geoffroy Serdin believes he wants to engage “differently”. His work has given him “a certain maturity” considers the candidate, by participating in recruitment and collective decisions, “empathy, and also negotiation, finding the best compromise and listening to the other”.
He announces that he is leaving his professional duties
This profile has legitimately seduced Claire Martin, referent in Haute-Vienne of Renaissance, who praises her professional qualities. “I met him during the presidential campaign, we towed and stuck” posters says Claire Martin. _“He has the ability to champion local issues on a national scale_he has networks, it’s a very good asset” believes the referent Renaissance.
If he is elected, Geoffroy Sardin warns: he will be “a grassroots MP”. He also took the opportunity to announce that he was leaving his post as vice-president to devote himself solely to his battle for the legislative elections and his territory. The first towing actions began this weekend in the 3rd district of Haute-Vienne
