This new episode of “Élysée, the battle” is devoted to what is undoubtedly the biggest fantasy about the relationship between media and politicians: the “off”, this confidence gleaned off the microphone, off cameras. The “off”, a tool all the more valuable for understanding the challenges of a presidential election, deciphering the words of a candidate, his campaign strategy … And sometimes also, his exits from the road.

In this episode, the political communicator Gaspard Gantzer, ex of the Elysee alongside François Hollande, explains to us for what purpose the politicians use (and sometimes abuse) the “off”. But in fact, what is an “off”? Response of the members of the political service of franceinfo who practice it in the field, in all fields, since there is not a politician and even less a presidential candidate who does not use this communication and strategy tool.
