According to André Pratte, no Quebecer would want another referendum on Quebec sovereignty to be held. The title of his February 16 text is clear: “Why Quebecers fear referendums.” The definite article “les” used in this title necessarily refers to all Quebecers. So no, Mr. Pratte, not all Quebecers fear referendums. Many, in fact, fear them. But many others, who are perhaps not the majority, I agree, would like to be able to express themselves again on the political future of Quebec. All these others are those who, unlike you, would like to stop being governed largely by another people. What is misleading is not the consistency of Mr. St-Pierre Plamondon, but rather your attempt to make people believe that no one in Quebec wants to have another opportunity to free themselves.
