The president of the Republicans chose to ally himself with the National Rally, opening a political crisis on the right. Several dozen party members were quick to announce their candidacy under this common banner.

How many candidates will be nominated by the alliance of the right and the extreme right which is sowing discord within the Republicans? The president of the National Rally, Jordan Bardella, announced on BFMTV, Friday June 14, the presence of a common candidate “in 70 constituencies in France” for the legislative elections of June 30 and July 7. “There will be around 80 candidates around Eric Ciotti from the Republican family”, added the vice-president of the RN, Sébastien Chenu, the same day on France 2.
