On July 14, 2016, a truck sowed terror on the Promenade des Anglais, in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), killing 86 people and injuring hundreds. The trial of the attack will begin Monday, September 5, in Paris.
It is a dreaded but expected ordeal that the relatives of the victims will face. The trial of the Nice attack (Alpes-Maritimes) will begin on Monday, September 5. Stéphane Erbs, who lost his wife, will testify during the hearings. “You have to stay dignified, it’s not to arrive and vomit hatred in quotes, it will make no sense. While the author of the attack was killed by the police after having murdered 86 people on the Promenade des Anglais, other individuals accused of having helped him will be tried during this trial. In total, they will be eight in the dock. The trial will take place in court of seats Paris special. One of them, however, is not present, he will be tried in absentia. Some are implicated for having provided weapons, others would have been aware of the terrorist’s project. The trial will also be broadcast in a room in Nice.
