white vinegar? My best ally!

In addition to being inexpensive (ranging from 40 ct to 1 euro), this product is multi-purpose and easy to use. His advantages ? It disinfects, degreases, deodorizes, prevents and treats limestone or tartar, all in an ecological and respectful way for our health!

What vinegar for cleaning?

Prefer alcohol/white vinegar with 8% acetic acid. You will find it everywhere in supermarkets sold by the liter or by the liter and a half.

When to use it?

Effective for cleaning and deodorizing your fridge, coffee maker, kitchen, toilets, windows. For example to clean and deodorize your microwave: dilute hot water and white vinegar in a small bowl and heat it at full power for about 5 minutes, this will create steam which will remove dirt easily with a wipe of the sponge. But be careful not to burn yourself, wait a few minutes before removing the bowl from the microwave to clean!

As you will have understood, it is best to dilute it in hot water for more efficiency, being careful with the steam from the hot vinegar.

Did you know ? White vinegar is obtained from beet sugar!

Other examples of uses:

  • As sanitizerfor work surfaces, cutting boards with a sponge soaked in white vinegar.
  • As anti limestoneleaving the white vinegar to act for 30 minutes to an hour on the surface in question (taps, shower head, etc.)
  • For clean and deodorize toilets, much healthier than bleach, mix three to four cups of vinegar in a pot of hot water.
  • For clean and maintain your carpets, we spray a mixture of hot water with vinegar then we rub with a brush.
  • For clean and disinfect his fridge, we use it pure on a sponge.

Attention :

  • It is very dangerous to mix bleach with white vinegar. The acid present in the white vinegar associated with the chlorine of the bleach will produce a highly toxic gas which, inhaled, will directly attack your respiratory tracts.
  • Avoid handling white vinegar without gloves because it could burn you if you have cuts or micro-injuries!
  • Use alone, white vinegar is better than bleach which is toxic, but be careful not to use it on certain surfaces! For example, on marble, prefer a sponge with soap and water to keep the surface clean and shiny. The white vinegar will come to leave traces and to lose all the luster of the marble. It is the same for the wood which will also be weakened.
  • Stop using white vinegar on your jewelry: natural, precious and semi-precious stones, they will lose their shine if they are cleaned with white vinegar! Hot water and soap will suffice! The same is true if you have natural stone furniture or floors.
  • Avoid on textiles! Due to its acidity, some clothes may discolor so handle with care! You can do the test on a small, inconspicuous piece of fabric before soaking it in clear water.
  • Mix white vinegar with water if you use it on your joints because otherwise they will be softened.
