white supremacists, nationalists, neo-Nazis… a demonstration escalates

On BFMTV, this Friday, October 21 shortly before midnight, on the set of Alice Darfeuille, journalist Nelson Getten comments live on the report he has just made on the demonstration “for Lola” organized by an association close to the party of Eric Zemmour. Although the parents of the twelve-year-old girl found murdered and raped a week earlier had asked that there be no political recovery around the death of their child, the images and comments of the journalist demonstrate the contrary. It is above all, according to the reporter, “hooded individuals, shaved heads, taking advantage of the murder of young Lola to convey their nationalist ideas.” Footage from the report shows a crowd chanting “We’re home! Migrants murderers, political accomplices! Darmanin resign!” On set, Nelson Getten, facing Alice Darfeuille, claims to have recognized members of the Zouaves, “an ultra-violent far-right group dissolved by Gérald Darmanin last January, former members of Génération Identitaire, a political movement known for hunting down migrants in the Alps, a movement also disbanded in March 2021.” There were also, still according to the journalist, white supremacists and neo-Nazis. Later, he will also add that he recognized “members of Civitas, a fundamentalist Catholic political movement, who outright demanded yesterday the return of the death penalty.” When asked how he recognized them, Nelson Getten speaks of these “details that are important”, such as “this flag in the colors: orange, blue and white with three small flags in the middle. This flag is that of South Africa at the time of Apartheid, the segregationist regime which considered that black men were subhuman. Second example: clothing brands. Members of the ultra-right often wear the same brands: Lonsdale, Lion Scott and another equally popular brand: Helly Hansen, for the initials HH like Heil Hitler.

Insults and spitting at the attention of journalists

Alice Darfeuille then relaunches the reporter: “What characterizes them is also their hatred of journalists, isn’t it?” And the latter to answer: “Yes and we had the bitter experience of it during this demonstration with Morgane Dumont, image reporter journalist at BFMTV, since we heard” Collaborative journalists “several times and we s was copiously insulted and especially Morgane was spat on.” Nelson Getten then continues with the arrival on site of Eric Zemmour: “He arrived with his own security service but the members of the small groups formed a second security cordon to provide a kind of unofficial protection. They had done exactly the same thing during the meeting of the Reconquête candidate in Villepinte during the launch of Eric Zemmour’s campaign in early December. Alice Darfeuille is quick to find out if the latter has spoken. The journalist replied in the negative: “No speaking, he did not answer my questions either and it was not for lack of trying. He wanted to try to show that this rally was not political, but there were all the headliners of Reconquête well aligned… Stanislas Rigault, Guillaume Peltier… They only stayed at the rally for 20 short minutes. Even Eric Zemmour was surprised to leave so early. We see him say to his acolytes: “Aren’t we expecting a last testimony?” The presenter finally asks him if other political parties were present. To which the reporter replies: “Yes, Florian Philippot, former RN, was there for his party Les Patriotes, present as the former right-hand man of Marine le Pen underlines “above all as a citizen…”. On the images, Nelson Getten then apostrophes the politician: “You do not respect the wish of the family which was precisely that there is no recovery or political demonstration?” To which the latter, half-joking, replies: “I did not hear that the family said that there should be no gathering, I rather heard the opposite this evening.” Believing, faced with the absence of almost all of the country’s political representatives, that there are political movements “more courageous than others”… Incarcerated in Fresnes since her confession, Dahbia B. is considered the main suspect in the murder of little Lola but, pending her judgment and psychiatric expertise, benefits from the presumption of innocence. Remember that the funeral of Lola will be held this Monday, October 24 in the Pas-de-Calais. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
