“White male over 50 years old whom Delphine Ernotte wants to get rid of”, the famous culinary journalist Vincent Ferniot lets loose!

It has long accompanied the lunch of Tour de France fans in “Departure village” before giving up his place and animating his daily life on France 3 : “Midday in France”. A program in which Vincent Ferniot highlighted the most beautiful products from each region of France and elsewhere. In this program, the culinary journalist gave many tips and tricks to viewers in order to cook healthier but not only. An adventure that lasted from 2015 to 2018 before he was thanked by France Televisions… or almost.

Indeed, guest of Figaro Buzz TV this Monday, June 26, the 63-year-old journalist returned to this departure from the group on which he officiated the majority of his career. “Were you kicked out?”he was asked before the guest replied frankly: “Yes !”. However, Vincent Ferniot wanted to qualify his remarks. “Finally, the last program I had on France 3 Paris Île-de-France fell at the time of the Covid and… Finally, I would not say that I was thrown out but I would say that I was kindly pushed out”he specified.

Vincent Ferniot, like Patrick Sébastien?

However, the food journalist thinks “check all the boxes” but “not the right ones apparently”. “Are you one of the ‘white males over 50’ that Delphine Ernotte wants to get rid of, do you think?”finally dropped Nicolas Vollaire in reference to the declaration of the president of France Télévisions on his arrival in 2015.

“Clearly!”, confirms Vincent Ferniot. The one who officiates today on Public Senate with its monthly program “Eating is voting”ensures however that there are “exceptions” : “And then I think anyway that everything at one time. I no longer validate the options of France Télévisions so much”. In the end, his departure is a blessing in disguise. Because when Sarah Lecoeuvre asks him if he doesn’t feel “closer” of the group, the culinary journalist recognizes that the “editorial choice” don’t him “more suitable”.
