In the 2000s, a new figure made itself known to the general public in the French audiovisual landscape. Her name? Marc-Olivier Fogiel. After making his mark as a radio journalist, he landed on television on France Télévisions with a program that was to be talked about for several years. From 2000 to 2006, he was the host of the France 3 talk show You can’t please everyone. Then, between 2012 and 2019, he returned to his first love: radio. We then find it with RTL evening and Should we remake the world on RTL.
But the career of Marc-Olivier Fogiel has taken a new trajectory since since 2019, he has been appointed general manager of the news television channel BFM TV. A new position that propelled him into the shadows. But the 53-year-old media man may soon find the light again.
In an interview granted to the Parisian, he indicated that he could again show himself in the image under certain conditions. “I don’t miss the antenna. On the other hand, I had forbidden myself during these three years to mix genres by doing while running the channel. I discussed it with Arthur Dreyfus (CEO of Altice Media) recently . He asked me not to ban him anymore”, he informed. In the process, he revealed what could lead him to show himself. “I could therefore be called upon to go on the air very occasionally, for interviews. It will only be done if the opportunity arises and if it is the best solution for the channel. But there are enough in-house talents so that it remains a hypothesis“.
