Louis Bertignac was one of the personalities interviewed in the latest issue of 50 mins InsideSaturday June 17, 2023. The former coach of The Voice was questioned about paternity. With Julie Delafosse, the 69-year-old musician had two daughters, Lola, born April 20, 2004 and Lili, born September 18, 2007. After this relationship, he met Laetitia Brichet, 34 years his junior, whom he will marry on July 24, 2021. Together, they will give birth to Jack in 2016. At that time, the guitarist is 62 years old. “I am old enough to be his grandfather”he dropped in front of the cameras of the magazine. “Besides, I’m older than his grandfather”he corrected.
With great honesty, the interpreter of Origins made a huge revelation. “I didn’t really want to have a child”. But what finally convinced him to finally change his mind. “My wife, who is much younger than me, tells me ‘I would like a child and I would like you to be the father'”continued Louis Bertignac. “I can’t say no otherwise she’s going to leave. She’s going to have a child with someone else and that gave me a boost.”
His son has an “unlivable disability”
In the past, Louis Bertignac had spoken of his son’s health problems. “Jack was not very comfortable writing for example. A teacher had advised us to go see a doctor because he seemed a little dyspraxic […] We were also told about autism,” he had explained to our colleagues from Tele-Leisure before being reassuring. “Today, we know that everything is fine. My wife did well to worry: it gave Jack a bit of education which was rather beneficial, he was able to catch up on the months of delay he had on others”.
And that’s good !
