We go around some of the bathing sites with Isabelle Mayau from Bons Plans d’Isa et Marion, to start with there are the swimming pools, numerous in Poitou. So in Poitiers there is the Nursery with a large pool and play area including a current loop and if you wish, hammam and sauna, in Niort the Pré-Leroy swimming pool with its Nordic pool. There are many other pools that all offer swimming lessons, aquabikes and other group activities.
And on the side of the natural sites where one comes in family to spend the day at the edge of the water, in Vienne:
– the lake of St Cyr, which again received the Blue Flag, paying access in season,
– the leisure center of Bonneuil-Matours where you can swim in the Vienne, free access,
– the Lusignan leisure center where you can swim in the Vonne, free access.
In the Deux-Sèvres:
– Lake Verruyes, with its gym equipment: paying in high season,
– the Cherveux lake (paying activities: course in the trees, ski lift), free access.
