In Saint-Nazaire, the matches will be broadcast from the semi-finals, if France qualifies, as was already the case at the previous World Cup. The giant screen should be installed at Alvéole 12, a room at the submarine base that can accommodate 2,000 people seated. The mayor of the city, David Samzun, explains that he does not see himself depriving the Nazairians ofa beautiful moment of communion around football if the Blues qualify.

I think we really need it.”
In La Roche-sur-Yon
In Vendée, there will also be a giant screen in La Roche-sur-Yon to follow the course of the French team. if it passes the quarter-finals. During the previous world four years ago, 5,000 spectators gathered at the Henri Desgrange stadium. This time, the World Cup being organized in autumn, the meeting place remains to be defined.
No giant screen in most cities
For the moment, the majority of the cities of Loire-Atlantique and Vendée do not plan to broadcast the matches of the next World Cup.

Like Nantes, the town of Ancenis-Saint-Géréon, decides to boycott officially the world in Qatar. “Never has a sporting event presented so many social and environmental aberrations. The World Cup in Qatar no longer has anything to do with sport,” wrote Mayor Rémy Orhon in a press release.
Finally, many municipalities will not offer a gathering to their population to follow the meetings, but unrelated to the current controversy. This is the case in Challans, in Vendée, but also for example in the Nantes conurbation, in Saint-Herblain, Vertou or Rezé. Most of the time, these cities had also not broadcast the matches of the previous World Cup.
